| Milieu Services (Family Learning Place):
Resources are dedicated to serving families who have a child between the ages of six and twelve years of age, who are experiencing severe behavioural and/or emotional problems of a nature warranting temporary removal from the usual community environments. The program provides fourteen spaces (overnight, eight-to-eight, day programming). Through individualized treatment plans, the children and families are helped to learn and develop adaptive behaviours and skills necessary for successful functioning at home and at school, and in the community. The intensive family treatment includes parent training, family therapy, group therapy, educational programming, and community consultation and support.
As an adjunct to the milieu service, there are a maximum of 6 spaces available for overnight care.
